Evolved 100 years into scarfit existence, Floatras are a subspecies of scarfit evolved for an aquatic lifestyle. They have been known about for years, and are accepted everywhere.
Floatra are a subspecies born for life underwater, having features designed for living in rivers, lakes and oceans! They always have arm fins and gills. Plain Floatra with no upgrades also have Bane arms, Flipper Feet, Tadpole tail and Axolotl Gills.
Being a water based subspecies, they learn water spells quicker than other scarfits!
Though because of this, they stuggle with Fire and Electric spells. They need more time to master fire spells, and can't learn electric spells past basic.
To see underwater clearly and in darker depths, Floatra eyes evolved to feature unique pupils!
They have a pupil like ring surrounding the iris, with a smaller pupil in the middle.
Their eyes are more sensitive to light, meaning that they'll need some time to adjust when they surface for land.
Floatra fuzzgems are actually called Bubblestones, due to the fact the material surrounding the gem is made of a squishy stretchy material. When a scafit of any subspecies is fluff budding a Bubblestone, a squishy and smooth bud will grow from the abdomen area.
Floatra collars can inflate, and are usually used by young teni to surface until they can hold themselves above water.
Older Floatra use their collars to help show their emotions, puffing them up when upset.
When they are born, floatra teni struggle to breathe air until they are 18 months old. Any other subspecies who are born with the gills upgrade may or may not struggle with this as well.

To make a floatra or convert a scarfit into one, you must own a Flatra (trans)formation Token. You can only get these as prizes from events and raffles.
