SZW’s mission is to reduce waste. This implies that it supports a circular economy where neighbours can decide to Reduce the amount of items they buy and repair what can be repaired instead. Organizing repair cafés encourages people to repair some items they would have thrown in the waste otherwise. We believe that when people develop agency and a stronger sense of belonging, they will feel empowered, creative and happier.

This time, we are also organizing a REmarket where people can drop some items to be Reused. This time, we will be collecting egg cartons, Brita filters and Swiffer mops as well as Yogurt containers (see the poster attached).

Our group collaborates with Repair Café Toronto to organize those repair cafes.
