Scams
Overview
A scam is a deal which provides false information, to trick you to give away money or personal data. These can be subdivided into many subcategories, some of which are outlined on this website. The list presented is by no means exhaustive, but covers the scams that we most commonly see.
Scams are our primary target. We pose as victims to waste scammers' resources, and cause them to lose potential victims by disabling their accounts.
Our methods
Information
To reduce scam operations worldwide, our first step is informing the public. Before we can involve the community, people have to be able to quickly identify scams and methods for combating them. Potential victims are also reduced. We make use of social media and we hope to expand to TV, as part of efforts towards scam prevention.
Interference
(The photo's from a scammer)
This is what we do to reduce money lost to scammers. By publishing scam information, disabling their accounts and reporting relevant information to authorities, we reduce efficiency of the scammers. When enough people seek to waste their resources, scams will become much less lucrative.
Involvement
We hope to eventually get people all over the world to scambait, rather than just refusing to engage. In order to combat scams where authorities and companies are unwilling to intervene, the community must fight back.
We must not sit back and watch any longer. We must stop the scams. We must take action.
Your part
Instead of ignoring scammers, reply to them! At the least, just give a random response to clog up their inboxes. Doing so helps waste valuable time on the part of the scammers, forcing them to sift through more people to get to victims who will send them money. If you're just getting started, please take a look at our scambaiting resources. We wish you never-ending trouble in your transactions!
