PPE Welcome Kit
Upon students return to campus in the Fall of 2020, each student was given a welcome bag. This bag contained a Prayer Card, a paper thermometer, a bottle of hand sanitizer, a hygiene hook, a "Bona" Gaiter, and a surgical mask.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
Hand sanitizing stations are strategically placed across campus to prevent the spread of any germs. These stations can be found in a select few buildings that include the Richter Center and the Hickey Dining Hall. In other academic buildings, large bottles of hand sanitizer can be found in almost every classroom.
Social Distancing Dots
Throughout campus, "social distancing dots" can be seen scattered across the floor. These dots were primarily used to indicate where people should stand, usually in a line. These can mostly be found in the dorm buildings, the Hickey Dining Hall, the Riley Center, and in the Richter Center. These dots are one of the many ways St. Bonaventure has used to keep people social dist in public spaces.
Classroom Modifications
During the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters, per CDC guidelines desks had to be at least three feet apart from one another. To accommodate this change, many classes that are traditionally taught in Plassmann Hall were moved into the Quick Center. This is a photo of the classroom conditions in Quick 220. Like this room, most of the available galleries in the Quick Center have been converted into classrooms. Each room has a lector, projector and whiteboard.
Basketball Game Attendance
During the 2020-2021 Men's basketball season, fans could not attend games in the Reilly Center. Fortunately, passionate Bonnies fans could attend the game in spirit by purchasing a cardboard cutout. Each cutout cost $100.00 dollars a piece and would be placed at either end zone bleachers through the entirety of the regular season. The only two games that allowed in-person attendance included the Atlantic-10 Championship game, where St. Bonaventure faced off against VCU in Dayton, Ohio and at the First Round of the NCAA tournament against LSU in Indianapolis, Indiana.
