We would like to invite you all to our panel discussion "From Research to Industry: AI,Robotics, Challenges, Success Stories, Failures, & More".
This event is taking place in the middle of a Winter School, which is hosted here at SBRE and will be attended by 15 PhD students, as part of the ANIMATASproject . During the panel discussion, the speakers will answer questions related to the challenges of bridging between research and industry to bring forward innovation. Furthermore, they will have the chance to have debates not only among themselves but with the audience as well.

Eric Bolo: Bridging the gap: from school to startup
Batvoice develops speech analytics solutions for customer services and devotes a large part of its efforts to research and development in several domains of machine learning, from speech recognition to affective computing and natural language understanding. In this talk, Eric Bolo will describe the day-to-day of R&D at Batvoice, compare the drawbacks and benefits of doing research in a startup environment, and highlight key skills R&D teams look for.
