Transporte

Olinda/PE não dispõe de Aeroporto Nacional ou Internacional. No entanto, o Aeroporto Internacional do Recife/Guararapes- Gilberto Freyre fica, aproximadamente, de carro, 30 minutos de Olinda. Táxis, Uber e 99 estão amplamente disponíveis em toda região metropolitana do Recife (Incluindo Olinda). Além disso, em frente ao Aeroporto pode-se pegar o Metrô (Estação Aeroporto) para a Estação Joana Bezerra. Esta Estação também é um Terminal Integrado. No Terminal há várias opções de ônibus, como TI Xambá, TI PE/15, entre outros, que vão direto para Olinda.

 Os Participantes que virão de ônibus Rodoviários, podem descer no Terminal Rodoviário do Recife- TIP, e pegar o metrô para a Estação Joana Bezerra. Porém, uma dica valiosa é que os ônibus rodoviários, antes de irem para o Terminal Rodoviário, geralmente fazem uma parada no Derby, bairro do Recife. O Derby fica próximo ao Centro do Recife, havendo muitos ônibus para Olinda. O Evento não disponibilizará transporte para os participantes.

Há uma série de conexões possíveis entre Recife e Olinda para quem deseja pegar transporte público. Deixaremos aqui algumas rotas centrais. O valor das passagens é R$4,10.

Aeroporto - Olinda

• Aeroporto - Terminal Integrado (T.I) Aeroporto - T.I Joana Bezerra - (Linha 1909) T.I Pelópidas (Descer no atacadão)

• Aeroporto - Terminal Integrado (T.I) Aeroporto - T.I Joana Bezerra - (Linha 1913) T.I PE-15 (Descer no atacadão)
  Há integração entre o Aeroporto e o Metrô, que te deixa exatamente na estação T.I Aeroporto. De lá, o caminho segue sentido centro do Recife, mas a parada recomendada é na Integração de Joana Bezerra, onde você encontrará as linhas recomendadas.
  
  

Boa Viagem - Olinda

• (Linha 050) Boa Viagem - T.I PE-15  (Descer no atacadão)

• (Linha 910) Piedade - Rio Doce  (Descer no atacadão)
  Para quem está em Boa Viagem, uma opção viável é a linha recomendada. Ele passa nas duas principais avenidas de Boa Viagem, é importante, entretanto, pegar o ônibus sentido Olinda.

Centro do Recife - Olinda

• Terminal Central Cais de Santa Rita - (Linha 1992 ) Pau Amarelo (Descer na beira mar, próximo à Praça do Carmo)
  Saindo do Centro do Recife, existem várias opções. Mas a mais recomendada para quem estiver próximo ao Recife Antigo, é ir para o Cais de Santa Rita (um terminal central na cidade). No cais de Santa Rita recomendamos a linha Pau Amarelo.

• Próximo ao Teatro Santa Isabel tem linhas direto para Olinda. Na Avenida Cruz Cabugá, Praça 13 de Maio e Avenida Dantas Barreto também há linhas com itinerário direto para Olinda.

Derby - Olinda

Para quem está na área central do Recife, o Derby é uma encruzilhada importante com conexões diversas na cidade. O Derby fica ao lado de uma importante avenida que liga Recife a Olinda, a Agamenon Magalhães. Na Agamenon existem muitas linhas de õnibus que seguem direto para Olinda. Os ônibus que saem do T.I Joana Bezerra passam nas paradas da Agamenon. O mesmo ocorre com as linhas que saem de Boa Viagem. Portanto:

• (Linha 050) Boa Viagem - T.I PE-15  (Descer no atacadão)

• (Linha 910) Piedade - Rio Doce  (Descer no atacadão)

• T.I Joana Bezerra - (Linha 1909) T.I Pelópidas (Descer no atacadão)

• T.I Joana Bezerra - (Linha 1913) T.I PE-15 (Descer no atacadão)

Várzea/UFPE - Olinda

• (Linha 2920) T.I CDU - T.I Rio Doce

Saindo da Várzea, onde está localizada a Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), o caminho mais indicado é seguir para o Terminal CDU (T.I CDU) e pegar a linha (2920) CDU/Rio Doce e descer próximo à praça do Carmo. A linha está integrada com as estações de BRT da Avenida Caxangá, portanto, também é possível pegar o ônibus em algumas estações de BRT entre o Terminal CDU e o Museu da Abolição.

Transportation

Although there is no airport in Olinda, neither domestic nor international, Recife’s international airport (REC) is around 30 minutes from Olinda by car.  There are several app ride-services available in the Recife Metro Area, including Olinda, with Uber and 99 Pop being the most popular. Taxis are also reliable and easy to find when leaving the airport, albeit not so common in-town. We strongly recommend that you choose to go to Olinda by car, especially if carrying luggage.

 There are also options for public transportation. Integrated with the airport is a Central Station with both metro and bus options that lead to Joana Bezerra Central Station (Recife’s main transportation hub). From Joana Bezerra, you have access to buses that go to Olinda as well as metro lines that link to other areas of Recife. If you decide to go to Olinda by bus, when arriving in Joana Bezerra, you should look for the following bus lines: TI Xambá; TI PE/15.

If you’re coming by intercity buses, you should consider two stop options: 1) Recife Bus Terminal – TIP. Connected to TIP, there’s a metro station that leads to Joana Bezerra; 2) Derby Square, which is in Recife’s downtown. Although there’s no metro station in Derby, there are several buses options that go directly to Olinda as well as other parts of Recife. Be aware that must buses do stop at both TIP and Derby, so consider which option is best suited for your final destination.

Unfortunately, the Conference cannot offer shuttle or other pick-up options for its participants.

Tickets for buses in the Recife metro area cost R$ 4.10 for each ride. If you’re stopping at Terminals and Central Stations, such as Joana Bezerra, you can change buses/metro lines without being charged another fare. Buses with stops at these stations usually have “T.I” in their line names. Most of the Central Stations are also served by Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) lines, which are usually faster for reaching other stations.   

Here are a few routes from Recife to Olinda:

Recife International Airport –> Olinda

• Airport Central Station –> T.I Joana Bezerra (bus line 1909) –> T.I Pelópidas (look for “Atacadão” stop)

• Airport Central Station –> T.I Joana Bezerra (bus line 1913) –> T.I PE-15(look for “Atacadão” stop)

Boa Viagem –> Olinda

• T.I PE-15 (bus line 050) (look for “Atacadão” stop)

• Piedade Rio Doce (bus line 910) (look for “Atacadão” stop)

If you’re staying in Boa Viagem, both lines are very reliable. They both cross the neighborhood’s two main Avenues and have several stops. Be sure to get them in direction to Olinda, though.

Recife downtown –> Olinda

• Santa Rita Central Station: Pau Amarelo (bus line 1992) (look for the closest stop to “Carmo Square”)

If you’re staying in Downtown, there are many bus lines that go to Olinda. Even though Santa Rita is a Central Station, there can certainly be many lines with stops closer to your hotel, especially if you’re staying close to main avenues such as Boa Vista or Agamenon Magalhães Avenue 

Derby Square –> Olinda

Derby is one of Recife busiest neighborhoods, as sits right at the center of the city. Its main avenue, Agamenon Magalhães, is served with many bus lines that go directly to Olinda. Buses either coming from or going to Boa Viagem also have stops on it, as do the lines coming from the Airport.

Here are a few options:

• T.I PE-15 (bus line 050) (look for “Atacadão” stop)

• Piedade Rio Doce (bus line 910) (look for “Atacadão” stop)

• T.I Joana Bezerra (bus line 1909) –> T.I Pelópidas (look for “Atacadão” stop)

• T.I Joana Bezerra (bus line 1913) –> T.I PE-15(look for “Atacadão” stop)

Várzea/UFPE –> Olinda

• T.I CDU/T.I Rio Doce (bus line 2920)

If you’re staying close to the University, the usual route would be to get the bus line 2920, at the University Central Station (T.I CDU). The station also has Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) lines that connects it with other stations (such as Joana Bezerra).
