Privacy Policy — Sayglide

The short version
Sayglide collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Your scripts, your voice and your recordings stay on your own devices, and nothing is uploaded.

What stays on your device
The app stores this locally, on your device only:
your scripts and their version history
prompter settings: text size, pace, theme, mirroring, reading guide
the answer to one question — whether a valid Sayglide Pro purchase exists — so paid features work instantly at launch
None of it is uploaded, and there is no iCloud sync. The only time part of a script leaves the device is when you connect your own second device as a remote (see below). We cannot see any of it. If you delete the app, it is gone; we hold no copy and cannot restore it.
Your voice
When you turn on voice follow, the app listens through the microphone and recognises your speech on the device, using Apple's on-device speech recognition. This voice-follow audio is not recorded, not stored and not sent anywhere; it is used only to move the script and, while you record a video, to time the captions.
For some languages Apple's speech model is downloaded from Apple the first time you use that language. That download comes from Apple and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Your voice is never part of it.
Your recordings
When you film a video, its sound is recorded with it through the microphone, as in the Camera app. The video stays on your device, and is written to the Photos library only when you tap Save. The app does not read the rest of your library. Captions are made from the script and the timing of your voice, on the device; before they are burned in you can review and correct them. A subtitles file (.srt) is only created on the device, and only goes anywhere if you share it. Nothing is uploaded.
Remote control
If you use a second iPhone or iPad as a remote, the two devices talk directly to each other over your local Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth. The connection is encrypted and carries only prompter commands, the script's title, its section names and the line being read, so the remote can show where you are. No server is involved and nothing passes through us.
What we do not do
We do not create accounts or ask for your name, email or phone number.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
We do not show advertising and do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
We do not track you across apps or websites, so the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
We do not sell, share or transfer personal data, because we do not hold any.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details go to Apple, never to us. We receive no card numbers, no billing address and no name. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Sayglide is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
