I am a Sessional Instructor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo, where I am currently teaching STAT 316 (Introduction to Statistical Problem Solving). While my training is not formally in statistics, my research has drawn from a wide range of analyses including correlation, regression, ANOVA, factor analysis, linear mixed models, and cross-correlation. I am always keen to learn new ways to describe and analyse data, especially methods that capture temporal patterns (both within and between individuals) and change over time-on-task.

I recently completed my PhD and MA in Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience) along with a Certificate of University Teaching at Waterloo, working with Dr. Daniel Smilek in the Vision and Attention Lab. My graduate research was generously supported by the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and two NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS-Doctoral and CGS-Masters). Before Waterloo, I completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Biology with a Certificate in Psychology Research Methods at Cape Breton University.

My research broadly investigates the association between attention, memory, and affect, and between behavioural and subjective experiences of attention.

When I'm not thinking about attention, I am usually losing mine somewhere outdoors - be it camping, gardening, or open-water swimming - or in a good book!
