Women in Engineering

Grades 9-12 (Semester) Syllabus

This is a semester long course designed for female students. This class is designed to fill the world’s shortage of female engineers by creating an environment that will get girls involved. In this course each student will learn safety and operations on an array of machinery and hand tools. The girls will get real world design and engineering experience in this class. Students will study women’s issues around the world and design and build a working prototype to solve a problem chosen by the group. Suggested shop fee: $25
