Saturn’s Enigma is now Open on Square!
Materials Needed:
a pencil
a piece of paper
an eraser
a ruler (optional but recommended!)
something to color with
You want your rectangle to be about 4 inches wide and 6 inches tall. Use your ruler to help you!!
This rectangle you want it to be 2 inches up from and 2 inches to the right from the location of the first rectangle. They will overlap!
Connect the corners of your two rectangles to create a rectangular prism (oooh geometry term!)
Erase the lines inside your rectangular prism to make your rectangular box well... more like a box! Feel free to make your corners more rounded during this step too.
This rectangle will be for BMO's face. You want your rectangle to be closer to the top, not in the center.
BMO has lots of emotions like us! Get creative with different emotions on BMO's face to show how BMO is feeling. Check out the examples below for ideas!
Examples:
mischievous
hit in the eye
terrified
angry
excited
sleepy
happy
Let's start off with the left side of BMO's body. Start by drawing a small rectangle just under the face to the left.
To draw BMO's D-pad, draw a chunky cross under the rectangle from the last step. Make sure it is to the left!
For the last of the left side buttons, draw two small, thin rectangles in the bottom left corner.
For the right side, draw a medium-sized circle just under the right corner of the face.
Towards the center of the body (does not have to be perfectly center), draw a small triangle.
Next to the bottom right corner of the triangle, draw a small circle.
Directly under the triangle, draw a large circle. This completes BMO's buttons!
For BMO's speaker, draw six dots on the side of his body towards the top.
Under the speaker, draw BMO's name sideways. Feel free to turn your paper or redraw lines to get it the way you like it! It is a very tricky angle to draw, even for me :)
BMO's legs look like a lower-case 'b', so we are going to use that shape to draw the legs.
Use the same technique that we used for the legs for the arms. REMEMBER! BMO is full of emotion! Feel free to draw the arms in any direction to make BMO even more expressive!
You can use the color palette under BMO for a reference in finding color.
BMO IS SO CUTE!
