Saturn’s Enigma is now Open on Square!
Welcome to my ramen bowl tutorial! This drawing was requested and inspired by a student I worked with. Have fun drawing!
Materials:
a piece of paper
a pencil
an eraser
something to color with
Draw an oval.
draw a 'u' shape, connecting to edges of the oval. Add a smaller second oval to the obttom. Now you have a 3-D bowl!
To draw the meat, draw some rounded-edge recangles, one overlapping the next one until you have 4-5 pieces in your bowl.
To draw your egg, draw an oval, but make one end of a bit wider (like an egg!). Then connect the two edges with a 'u' shaped curve.
to draw the naruto rice cakes, draw 2 ovals overlapping (we are going to draw 2 rice cakes).
On the front rice cake draw a swirl, going around 2-3 times until you reach the center.
To give the rice cakes some texture, go around the oval and create a wavy border. Erase any stray lines from the oval so only the wavy border is left.
To draw the seaweed strips, draw a few rectangles (about 4-5) overlapping each other.
TO draw the chopped scallions (or green onions), draw a bunch of small circle overlapping. This doesn't need to look perfect so draw as many as you want and don't worry about perfect circles! You can also draw some stray onions in your bowl on top of other foods.
to draw your ramen noodles, feel free to get creative! Draw curved lines in between the toppings to make it look like noodles are under them! These lines can be thin, thick, or anywhere in between. How do you like your ramen noodles?
Let's draw our chopsticks! Draw 2 lines extending out from your bowl, then connect the lines with a small line across the top. Repeat again to make your second chopstick.
Add some color and BOOM! Feel free to add decorations and even a cute face to your bowl to make it your own. Happy drawing!
