Dr. Umesh Kumar (07/2024 ~ current):
Umesh is working on topological superconductors and quantum spin systems supported by National Quantum Information Science Research Center, Quantum Science Center.
Ms. Tatiana de Picoli Ferreira (01/2025 ~ 04/2025):
Tatiana worked on realistic 3D TI/superconductor hybrid systems using density functional theory and modeling. She was supported by the Basic Energy Sciences, the U.S. Department of Energy through the the Graduate Research at ORNL program .
Tatiana is finishing up her Ph. D study at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Purdue University,, Purdue University.
Dr. Shaozhi Li (09/2021 ~ 06/2023):
Shaozhi worked on quantum spin liquids and topological superconductors supported by National Quantum Information Science Research Center, Quantum Science Center.
Shaozhi is currently working at the Northeastern University, China, as an associate professor.
Dr. Narayan Mohanta (12/2018 ~ 08/2021):
Narayan was working on oxide thin films and interfaces and bulk oxide using analytical and numerical techniques. He was supported by the Basic Energy Sciences, the U.S. Department of Energy.
Narayan is currently working at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, as an assistant professor.
Dr. Pontus Laurell (08/2018 ~ 05/2021):
Pontus worked on quantum spin liquid systems using numerical techniques such as DMRG, Lanczos exact diagonalizatio, and thermal pure quantum state methods. He was supported by CompFUSE, a SciDAC (Science Discovery through Advanced Computing) project, under the U.S. Department of Energy.
Pontus is currently working at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Missouri, as an assistant professor.
