Image To PDF Converter - Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 15, 2026 · Last updated: August 15, 2026
SA Studios ("we," "us," "our") operates the Image To PDF - Scan PDF mobile application (the "App"), a document utility app for creating, scanning, converting, compressing, merging, and protecting PDF files directly on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. How the App Works (Local Processing)
The core functionality of the App — creating PDFs from images, scanning documents with your camera, converting PDF pages to images, compressing PDFs and images, merging or splitting PDF files, locking/unlocking PDFs with a password, rotating pages, extracting pages, and converting Word documents to PDF — is performed entirely on your device.
We do not upload, transmit, or store the content of your images, scanned documents, or PDF files on any server we control. Files you create, edit, or convert stay on your device and in locations you choose to save or share them to (such as your device storage, or an app you select via the Android share sheet).
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information collected automatically
We use Google Firebase services to understand how the App is used and to detect and fix crashes. This may include:
App interactions: which features/screens you open, and whether actions (such as compressing or converting a file) succeed or fail
Device information: device model, operating system version, language and country settings, screen resolution
App information: app version, install source, session duration and frequency
Crash and performance data: stack traces, error logs, and app state at the time of a crash (via Firebase Crashlytics)
A general, non-precise identifier for your installation of the App (such as an Android advertising identifier or Firebase installation ID), used for analytics and — once enabled — advertising
We do not collect the actual content, filenames, or contents of the PDFs, images, or documents you process in the App as part of this automatic collection — only metadata about app usage described above (for example, that a "Compress PDF" action succeeded, not the file itself).
2.2 Information you provide directly
If you contact us for support (for example, by email), we will receive your email address and the contents of your message.
3. Device Permissions
Permission
Why the App requests it
Camera To let you scan physical documents into PDFs. Camera images are processed on-device and are not uploaded anywhere by us.
Photos / Media / Storage (read) To let you select images or PDF files from your device to convert, compress, merge, or otherwise process.
Storage (write, on older Android versions) To save the PDFs and images the App generates to your device.
Notifications To show you local notifications related to the App (for example, when a background operation completes), if enabled.
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings, though doing so may limit the App's functionality.
4. How We Use Information
To operate, maintain, and improve the App's features and performance
To understand which features are used most, so we can prioritize fixes and improvements
To identify, diagnose, and fix crashes and bugs
To measure and improve app stability and load times
Once advertising is enabled (see Section 6), to display and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by your consent and applicable law
To respond to support requests you send us
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect information used to identify you as described in their own privacy policies:
Service Purpose Policy
Google Firebase Analytics App usage analytics firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Firebase Crashlytics Crash and error reporting firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play Services Core platform services required to run the App on Android policies.google.com/privacy
Google AdMob (coming soon) Displaying in-app advertisements policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
6. Advertising
We plan to integrate Google AdMob into the App in the near future to display advertisements. This section describes how that will work once enabled, so this policy stays accurate without requiring a separate update at that time.
AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as your Android advertising ID), general location (derived from IP address, not precise GPS), and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) to serve and measure ads.
Depending on your region and consent choices, ads shown may be personalized (based on your interests and activity) or non-personalized (based only on limited contextual information).
Where required (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland), the App will present a consent form before showing personalized ads, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy.
You can manage ad personalization for your device at any time in your device's Settings → Google → Ads, including resetting your advertising ID or opting out of personalized ads.
7. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share the limited information described in Section 2.1 with:
Google (via Firebase and, once enabled, AdMob), as our analytics, crash-reporting, and advertising infrastructure providers
Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public
A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information
8. Data Retention
Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained in accordance with Google's data retention practices for these products, generally for as long as necessary to provide the analytical and diagnostic purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Files you create in the App remain on your device and are retained or deleted entirely under your control, until you delete them or uninstall the App.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California). Because most of what the App collects is anonymous/pseudonymous usage analytics rather than directly-identifying information, some of these rights may not apply in the traditional sense. You can still:
Contact us (see Section 14) to ask what categories of information we hold in connection with your device/installation, or to request deletion where feasible
Limit ad personalization or reset your advertising identifier via your device settings
Revoke Camera, Storage, or Notification permissions via your device settings at any time
Uninstall the App at any time, which stops all further data collection by the App from that device
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including those provided by Google Firebase, to protect the information described in this policy. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Data Transfers
Information collected via Firebase and (once enabled) AdMob may be processed on Google's servers located in countries other than your own. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for such transfers as described in its own privacy and data processing policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when new features (such as advertising) are enabled. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Material changes may also be communicated within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
