Irrational
A man stands at the lake in the Spring, enraged, with a hammer in his hand.
He was vengeful, as he lost his father.
His mother told him.
He went out on the lake, and went out to the sea, never to be seen again.
He jumped at the lake, and swung at the water with his hammer. Nothing happened.
The water simply splashed, as if the lake was laughing at him.
He got out of the water.
He then dried off, and waited many months, for winter.
By winter, the water was solid.
Once more, the man jumped onto the lake and swung at it with his hammer.
The ice shattered.
He felt accomplished.
He “hurt the lake.”
