My teaching at the University of Oviedo spans a broad range of subjects across various undergraduate programs, including the Bachelor's degrees in Economics, Business Administration and Management, and Accounting and Finance, with a particular focus on microeconomics. Currently, I serve as the coordinator of the "Introduction to Microeconomics" course, which is also the subject in which I have the most teaching experience. In previous years, I also coordinated the "History of Economic Thought" course, a core subject within the Economics degree.
My research expertise in Cultural and Sports Economics, as well as in Nudge Theory, has enabled me to supervise numerous undergraduate theses in both fields. On one hand, I supervise theses related to Nudge Theory due to my involvement in international research projects in this area and several publications on the topic. On the other hand, I guide students in Cultural and Sports Economics, which have been my main research areas since my Ph.D. dissertation and the focus of most of my early academic publications. This strong connection between research and teaching enriches the academic experience, offering students the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge theories and their practical applications across diverse and interdisciplinary areas of economics.
More recently, in my Master's level courses, I have been focusing on Cultural and Sports Economics, emphasizing both their theoretical foundations and practical relevance in academic research—areas that align closely with my expertise and experience.
In recent years, I have specialized in teaching Introductory Microeconomics, a course for which I am currently also the coordinator at the Department of Economics. However, I have taught a variety of subjects over the years, including the following:
Introductory Microeconomics (Introducción a la Microeconomía) – 1st year
Introductory Macroeconomics (Introducción a la Macroeconomía) – 1st year
Introduction to Economics (Introducción a la Economía) – 1st year
History of Economic Thought / Evolution of Economic Analysis (Evolución del Análisis Económico) – 3rd year
Cultural Economics (Economía de la Cultura) – 4th year
