One of the major goals of the Sarasota Youth Association is to increase voter outreach, increase voter turnout, and assist in educating the general public on their local, state, and federal elections, with the hope of increasing youth involvement in politics.
Here you can find information regarding the upcoming 2022 midterm elections, and what upcoming elections are happening near you, the citizens of Sarasota. In the future we will be including an organized count of each election happening in the State of Florida. Senatorial, representative, mayoral, school board, and department elections, just to name a few.

For now, we will provide helpful tools so that you may personally find information that is important to you. What do I need?
Your Florida driver license (Florida DL) or a Florida identification card (Florida ID card) issued by the Florida Department of Highway safety and Motor Vehicles.
The Issued date of your Florida DL or Florida ID card; and
The last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN4)
Note: If you do not have any of the information above, you may still use the online system to prefill a voter registration application form. However, you will have to print, sign, and then mail or deliver your completed voter registration application to your county Supervisor of Elections' office.

Verify that all the information on your application is complete. The office where you register, your decision not to register, your Social Security number, Florida driver license number and Florida ID card number will remain confidential and will be used only for voter registration purposes.
Sign your application. The application requires an original signature because you are swearing to or affirming an oath.
Mail your application to your county supervisor of elections. (Requires first class postage.) You may also hand-deliver the application to any supervisor of elections office in the state, a driver license office, a voter registration agency or armed forces recruitment office, or to the Division of Elections.
If your application is complete and you qualify as a voter, the supervisor of elections will mail you a voter information card as official confirmation that you are registered to vote. Make sure all of the information on your card is correct. If you do not receive confirmation within two weeks, or if you have any questions, call your supervisor of elections.
Once registered, please keep your voter information up to date. You can update your information at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov or call or visit our office.
