Sarasota Youth Association

We are the Sarasota Youth Association, The Sarasota County Branch of Florida Youth Association. We are a student - founded organization lead by the youth, the young leaders and activists who strive for excellence and success of Sarasota County.

Sarasota county, and Florida at large has a wide variety of issues which are at times, blatantly ignored. In Sarasota County we see these issues trickle down into schools and across our communities.

WE, the Student leaders in Sarasota Youth Association, envision a school board and community where its members are educated on a variety of civic topics, are conscious of the issues within our community, and are actively working to bring to light and fix these issues.

We are dedicated to creating an environment that puts community collaboration first. Our members will work together to address issues that we see prevalent, We will fundraise to give back to our community and schools, and make sure that students are supplied with the resources they need to thrive.

We aim to educate our members on civics and government, to produce active members in our communities, and produce a more educated electorate - to fulfill a more representative democracy.

Hosting community forums, hosting debates, at all levels of government we will build the skills necessary to become future leaders. This is where the future is made. -SYA
