Claude
This is an example of a simulation Sarah created with Claude via a chat prompt. It simulates an Outlook meeting reminder that a financial representative joins. The video call with the customer rates the representative's choices regarding customer satisfacation and professionalism. The people, voices, email, video call, conversation text, answer choices, performance feedback, and final assessment were all generated by Claude.
Sarah chatted with the AI to make modifications. The 'customer' pictures are from Microsoft Word's character cut out stock library. Accuracy of the interaction content would be validated by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in finance.
The simulation would most likely be added as a content item within an eLearning course. It could also be stand alone in a resource library or LMS and be used in many ways: as supplemental support, during a VILT/ILT, extra asynchronous self-paced practice, and more.

Claude
Click the chat bubbles to the right to launch a new browser tab to experience a Claude-generated chat window. In this simulation, the financial representative has to type free text to form their own open-ended responses to the customer's mortgage questions. The people, conversation text, performance feedback, and final assessment are all generated by Claude.
Sarah chatted with Claude to describe the simulation and guide modifications. All other elements are the same as the video call simulation above.
Google Gemini
Sarah described a leadership training topic in Google Gemini, and it generated the slide deck to the right. Sarah made minimal clean-up. Part of the prompt was to apply branding front, colors, and logo from a particular company website. (The company reference has been removed for this portfolio.)
Gemini's Slides were exported to PDF format. Scroll through them above.
ChatGPT and HeyGen
Sarah uploaded the Gemini leadership slides to ChatGPT. It created a script for an educational video.
Sarah uploaded that script to HeyGen and chose an avatar. In addition, Sarah asked that knowledge check questions be added in regularly to engage the learner. While HeyGen did not have the capability to stop, require a selection, and give feedback, it at least did add in content based questions and provided answers with explanations. Sarah added in additional pause time after those questions so learners would have time to think.

Google Vids
Sarah uploaded the Gemini leadership slides to Google Vids and selected an avatar. It generated the video to the right.
Some adjustments were needed to element transitions. Decisions about where to display the avatar, when, and at what size were also required.
Vids generated an AI narrator without the avatar, as a different choice. That is the voice heard on the last two slides of this example.

HeyGen
This is an example video Sarah created with HeyGen's AI text to video generator. The person, voice, and setting in the video are all AI generated.
Sarah chatted with the AI to make modifications to the script and scenes.
After the video was generated, Sarah made minor changes in the video editor.
Intro, outro, and scene transitions required more credits than were available at the free level of HeyGen, so Sarah added them in ClipChamp.
The video above was AI-generated in HeyGen.
Vyond
Sarah also uses Vyond's AI text to video generator. Just as in the HeyGen video, the person in this video is an AI avatar.
The video clip of the patient and provider are from Vyond's content library.
Vyond makes it easy to add motion, animations, transitions, and background music.
Closed Captions are available for both videos: auto-generated in real-time by AI in the viewer, such as YouTube or drafted by AI in the tool and available for editing.
Sarah added an intro and outro to this video inside of Articulate in the eLearning course, so they are not visible here.
The video above was AI-generated in Vyond.
Sarah uses AI text to image generators to save many hours that might otherwise be spent searching content libraries.
She describes exactly what is needed, specifies the aspect ratio (size), and indicates the style (i.e. 35mm photograph, professional, 4k, highly detailed, realistic).
She finds this to be a great way to expand the representation and diversity. For example, she can more accurately represent the target audience's demographics.
The image above was AI-generated in Articulate's Rise 360.
Sarah includes multi-media because research shows that they dramatically improve learning and retention.
Articulate, for example, cites Richard Mayer’s research, which shows that:
People learn better from words + visuals than from words alone.
Visuals reduce cognitive load and help learners build mental models.
Dual‑channel processing (visual + auditory) increases retention.
Well‑designed visuals help learners grasp concepts and encode information faster and more efficiently.
Visuals support schema formation, which improves long‑term recall.
Visuals make abstract ideas concrete, improving memory.

Sarah uses Power Automate Desktop or similar applications to execute one-time, special projects that require a lot of repetition and take many, many hours to complete.
Using the program's macro recorder, Sarah's mouse clicks and keystrokes are captured. Complex coding is not needed. However, small adjustments such as adding in wait times for web pages to load or adjusting where on the screen the mouse is clicking may be needed.
When converting from one LMS to another, the existing library of 5,000 course files needed to be downloaded from the current LMS. The LMS only allowed local admins to download files one at a time. The LMS vendor offered to extract the files for a fee. Sarah set up the Power Automate Desktop flow on one computer and let it run for multiple days, while she continue working on other tasks on a different machine.
The image below illustrates the Power Automate Desktop workspace used to build and manage automation flows. Examples created by Sarah are not shown because they remain proprietary company assets.

Sarah improved data capture and dissemination by 95% by automating workflows and tasks. Automations increase reliability, free up staff time, reinforce standard operating procedures (SOP's), ensure data capture, and share information between applications and people automatically. Manually copying from one place to another is no longer needed nor is repeatedly, manually sharing the same attachments via email.
Her automated workflows have provided easy access to item status, notes, documents, team feedback, end-user responses, and analytics.
Sarah's automated workflows have included:
Auto-generated Outlook messages to stakeholders
Links to resources
Microsoft Forms
Power Automate Cloud Flows
SharePoint documents folders
SharePoint Lists or Excel files
Example 1: Sarah built the automated workflow below for the Recruiting team:
Sarah used ChatGPT to create the graphic above with a text prompt in seconds.
Example 2: Sarah built a SOP and combined it with Power Automate Cloud flows, establishing an easy-to-follow process, saving L&D overhead, and decreasing inquries. Watch the videos below to learn more.
Sarah also remembers and uses basic or simple solutions, especially those that do not require additional licenses.
Sarah uses team mailboxes, Outlook Rules, email signatures, and auto-responses to get messages to the right people or places automatically - letting rules detect key phrases, for example, and auto-categories, forward, or file into a particular sub-folder. Sarah's or her department's email auto-responses often contain hyperlinks to FAQ's or frequently used resources.
Sarah has doubled engagement, improved compliance by 90%, saved $300K annually on L&D overhead, and more with additional tools and strategies. Visit the buttons below to learn more.
