Sarah Harkleroad was born in South Dakota, attended Temple University and Arcadia University in Philadelphia, resided in Boston for 12 years, and is now back in the Philly area.
She has worked in Education for over 17 years, focusing on adults, including English as a Second Language, teaching 1,000's from all around the world and leading teams of 120+ staff.
She has written cohesive curriculum for Beginner through Advanced levels and a corresponding five-year grant proposal that doubled the funding from the Massachusetts Department of Education.
She thrives at learning new software and improving processes (SOP's):
She saved one company over $1,000,000 annually by re-configuring the Learning Management System and improving its eLearning design. For example, introducing pre-assessments cut training duration from 60 minutes to 5, getting highly valuable medical staff onto the hospital floor with patients faster. Setting up sFTPs and SSOs, training local leaders, and adding mid-level administrative access eliminated workflow bottlenecks, 100s of helpdesk tickets monthly, and manual processes. Not to mention, she implemented a self-service/just-in-time model with asynchronous learning on a SharePoint site with an extensive resource library. Altogether, the Learning team supporting 50,000 staff across 40 hospitals now smoothly ran with 1 FTE instead of 7.
She revamped another company--changing them from a paper-based system to a paperless one. This improved the service offerings, provided real-time data access remotely, and resulted in expanding the customer enrollment by 28% in one year.
