My very first PhD advisee Dr. Laura Beltran-Figueroa went on to complete a postdoc at Rutgers, then to serve as Policy and Research Director at the Pennsylvania Policy Center. Go Laura!

Hanna Farra

Hanna and I worked together through the Undergraduate Research Opportunity program coauthored several papers. We also presented some work coauthored with Dr. Yazgi Genç at the Eastern Economic Assocation conference in 2025 (pictured above). Way to go, Hanna!

Vanika Sok

Thanks to the University of Utah's Summer Program for Undergraduate Research, I mentored Lafayette College student Vanika Sok alongside my colleague Dr. Rachel Ernst. We researched library use in the US during periods of high unemployment-- stay tuned for a couple exciting papers with Vanika as coauthor! Fabulous work, Vanika!
