Dr Sarah E. I.
Bosman

I am a group leader at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, at the University of Heidelberg.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, since October 2020. I worked in Dr Fabian Walter's group on observations of the first galaxies and quasars during the first billion years after the Big Bang.

Before that, I worked for 3 years at University College London with Prof Richard Ellis in the First Light Group. Our objective was to find what how and when the Universe got reionised, by discovering and analysing the properties of the most distant galaxies in the Universe.

I did all my undergratuate and graduate studies at the University of Cambridge, in Girton College. My full CV can be found here and my PhD thesis here.

I really enjoy talking about astronomy and cosmology with both colleagues and the public. Please email me any and all questions :)

In my free time, I mostly play video games, and don't go outside much.

... to support the habbit, if you feel so inclined.
