Work Experience

Each job I've had has contributed to my learning and growth as an educator. Experiences in the classroom, interactions with parents, students, and colleagues, professional development and life events have led me on my career path. I started with Alpine School District as a classroom facilitator and mentor for at-risk high school students. Helping them as they pushed themselves and worked to achieve their academic goals inspired me to return to school and earn a master's degree in school counseling. I love what I do! Working with secondary students is unbelievably rewarding and has enriched my life in countless ways.

Develop school counseling program

Work with at risk 10th-12th grade students

Create individualized academic plans

Facilitate individual counseling

Conduct individual College and Career meetings with parents & students

Collaborate with service provider team, administration, and support staff

Facilitate intervention classroom, assisting students in remediating credits

Develop and utilize online tools to track student progress

Assist students in setting and reaching academic goals

Tutor and mentor students

Communicate with counselors, administrators and parents concerning student needs and progress

Coordinate the administration of the ACT test at Timpanogos High School

Hire and train proctors, schedule and prepare testing rooms, organize rosters, count, package and return tests
