Teen CERT Academy #9 registration are open now!
To become an official Teen CERT Disaster Service Worker, participants must complete the required training through a Teen CERT academy.
The academy lasts 3 days, plus an additional day for paperwork drop-off. Learn more about the academy curriculum below.

Paperwork Drop-Off: March 7th 2026 at 10 am to 12 pm
Day 1: March 13th 2026 at 4 pm to 9 pm
Day 2: March 14th 2026 at 9 am to 5 pm
Day 3: March 15th 2026 at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

All Teen CERT Academy participants also receive a Teen CERT backpack with basic gear and supplies.
The final step to becoming an official Disaster Service Worker is to participate in the Skills Day. This is where students will have the opportunity to practice hands-on all that they have learned throughout the course. This includes:
Light search and rescue
Fire safety
Disaster medical operations (head-to-toe assessment, splinting, tourniquet use, triage, wound-packing, etc.)
Damage assessment
Documentation
It is a very engaging and low-key day of fun activities, after which members will receive a certificate and badge, officially designating them as disaster service workers!
