Stop the Bleed is a nationally recognized, hands-on training that teaches you exactly what to do in a bleeding emergency. In just 60 to 90 minutes, you’ll learn how to:
Recognize life-threatening bleeding
Apply pressure to wounds
Pack deep wounds correctly
Use a tourniquet to stop bleeding
You don’t have to be a first responder to save a life. With this certification, you can make a life-or-death difference before EMS arrives.
It’s quick, it’s free or low-cost, and it’s life-saving. Get Stop the Bleed certified — because the life you save could be someone you love.
The Teen CERT program provides this certification to those who go through the Teen CERT program, however other locations such as local hospitals and fire departments provide classes.
Getting certified in CPR/AED means you learn how to respond in a real emergency. In this class, you’ll practice chest compressions, rescue breathing, and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to help someone whose heart has stopped.
The certification lasts two years and is nationally recognized — great for jobs like babysitting, lifeguarding, coaching, or anything in health care. It's a short class with a significant impact, and it shows leadership, responsibility, and confidence.
The Teen CERT program occasionally holds CPR/AED training for Teen CERT members, but local organizations such as the Red Cross and Santa Clara County Fire Department also teach CPR/AED.
