असम्भवं हेममृगस्य जन्म 

तथापि रामो लुलुभे मृगाय।

प्रायः समापन्नविपत्तिकाले 

धियोऽपि पुंसां मलिनीभवन्ति ॥१०॥

अन्वयः-

हेममृगस्य जन्म असम्भवम् तथा अपि रामः मृगाय लुलुभे  प्रायः समापन्नविपत्तिकाले पुंसाम् धियः अपि मलिनीभवन्ति।

The birth of a golden deer is impossible; still Rama desired eagerly for the deer. As a general rule, at the advent of adverse time, the intelligence of persons become obscured/ darted.
