Elementary Counseling Services

Elementary Counselors...

...promote academic, career, and personal/social development. The goal of elementary school counseling is to build a foundation for learning by fostering positive attitudes toward school and learning; personal responsibility; respect for self and others; knowledge and skills for academic growth and development.

Classroom Instruction

Students learn about managing emotions, communication skills, social problem solving & conflict resolution, and academic habits.

Small Groups

In a small group setting, students learn skills and coping strategies to help with academic, emotional, and/or social challenges. Parents are contacted by the school counselor if their child will be invited to participate in a small group.

Individual Counseling

In a confidential setting, students are assisted with their personal concerns. We teach skills and empower students to be problem solvers.

Consultation & Collaboration

We assist parents and staff members with strategies, resources, and support to address student needs.
