Geospatial Ecosystem Conservation Lab
About the Lab
The Geospatial Ecosystem Conservation lab (GECo) at Clark University Graduate School of Geography, is led by Dr. Flor Sangermano and is committed to advancing the fields of geographic information science (GIS), remote sensing, landscape ecology, and ecoacoustics to support conservation efforts.
Our lab focuses on understanding the impacts of climate and land use land cover change on ecosystems and biodiversity using geospatial analysis. The ultimate goal is to support effective conservation planning and ecosystem management.
Through our work, we seek to better understand the complex interactions between the environment, human activities, wildlife, and ecosystem services, applying the latest techniques in GIS, remote sensing, and ecoacoustics.
