Sanger High School uses Family and Consumer Science classes and FCCLA to help students explore careers. Below are listed some of the ways that Sanger has implemented career learning:
Sanger High FCCLA advisor Mrs. Escobedo has guest chefs visit Sanger High School to teach the culinary students new techniques and information about careers in the hospitality industry.
The Education and Training students have met with Cook Children's Hospital staff members. They learned about careers that can work at the hospital such as child life specialist, canine therapist, and child psychologist.
Sanger High FCCLA members have attended the Career Day hosted by the Dallas Mavericks.
Every year Education and Training students are placed in internship settings with teachers throughout Sanger ISD. They can receive the Educational Aide I certification upon graduation and turning 18.
Culinary Art students get internship training throughout the year working on the Sanger High School Culinary food truck the "Old No. 6." Working on the food truck includes tailgating at home games, providing hospitality rooms, and catering private events.
