I served as the Graduate Student Mentor for the 6th edition of Rethinking Number Theory, with the goal of providing more support for graduate student participants.
I have been serving as a graduate coach for the CSU Putnam club since Fall 2023. Here is a publicly viewable Google drive with a repository of helpful materials for anyone interested in the Putnam exam.
I founded and am organizing the ongoing Directed Reading Program at CSU. I also served as a DRP mentor for 3 semesters.
I mentored Nayer Sharar, a high school student from Bangladesh, in an independent study on the N-body problem during summer 2024. Here is his publication in the National High School Journal of Science: Efficient Numerical Methods for N-Body Simulations with Modern Computational Techniques
I was a Twoples mentor in Fall 2022. My mentee Jessica Wang made this awesome expository video on Category Theory as her final presentation. Check it out!
I co-organized a special session on "Curves and Abelian Varieties in Characteristic p" at the AWM Research Symposium in May 2025, held at UW Madison.
Here is a blog post I wrote for the MAA Math Values grad student column, based on some experiences in grad school.
I co-organized the RNT session at MAA MathFest 2024.
I co-organized the Front Range Number Theory Day at CSU during Fall 2024 and Fall 2023.
I led two Math Circle sessions while at UMich:
The myth of Prometheus: a prime time (Winter 2023) - Modular arithmetic and p-adic numbers.
TARDIS adventures: Skips and Hops across the universe (Fall 2021) - Euclidean Algorithm.
I was a member of FEMMES at UMich, which attempts to improve gender and racial diversity in STEM via outreach activities aimed at middle-school students from school districts with fewer resources. I wrote (successful) grant proposals and coordinated various science experiments.
I served as an intersectional representative for international students at the mathematics department of UMich through the Graduate Student Advisory Council. We implemented changes to the Qualifying Review examination system to address the leaky pipeline problem in academia at the junior graduate level.
I was a founding member of the Climate and Diversity Committee in the Physics Department at UCSC, and served as a Student Mental Health Ambassador. I was awarded the Marilyn Stevens Physics Undergraduate Scholarship (2019-2020) in recognition of academic achievements, together with leadership and service.
I volunteered with the Milaan Foundation during 2014-2016, in their Girl Icon Program. I am available for any outreach events by the foundation and their affiliates.
