Indiana is deeply effected by conversations about DACA and Immigrants. 6.2% of the population of the state, or 422,600 people in the state, are immigrants. Additionally 100,400 people in state are undocumented and only 7,900 of those are eligible for DACA. These undocumented people are unable to have a driver's license, state identification and are barred from instate tuition and financial aid. DACA recipients are able to have a driver's license but financial aid and instate tuition largely depends on what college they choose to attend. Below I've included links to some resources for undocumented immigrants that you might want to explore to learn more about their experience in Indiana.
