A collection of projects showcasing my skills and abilities as an aspiring engineer, roboticist, and leader.
My name is Sam Cashook and this is my project portfolio website, dedicated to featuring many of the projects I've worked on or am still working on.
Check out the projects by scrolling below or using the navigation bar on the left.
I hope you enjoy my work!
Since January 2022, I've served as a team lead on RIT's Cube Satellite Team, a student-led research group in RIT Space Exploration (SPEX).
In my time here, I've been able to work on lots of awesome projects including a Cube Satellite, a High Altitude Balloon, a Bioreactor, and more!
Robotics has always been a passion of mine. It started with toys and has grown to designing, 3D printing, and assembling my own designs.
From this experience, I've been able to learn and practice CAD, CAM, Electrical and Software skills.
One of my best habits (and my worst) is that I try to keep every broken thing I find because I know I'll find a use for it eventually.
Because of this, many of my projects are made from repurposed items such as Altoids tins, toasters, and even ukuleles!
Another way I like to practice my engineering skills is through prop making.
I design and build props from videogames and tv shows like Minecraft, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Return of the Obra Dinn, and more!
And more! This section covers some projects that I couldn't categorize as easily but are cool nonetheless.
These range from a homemade electric fan empire to a DIY smartwatch!
