The ultimate portable speaker system
Started in the summer of 2018, I had gained a reputation as the guy who makes stuff (see here) and I wanted to expand my repertoire to audio equipment. It wasn't a technical marvel, but the process taught me how to solder and I learned basic circuitry knowledge. My unique spin on the average speaker is that the Bass Booster was encased in a drink cooler.
The Bass Booster was made out of an old Bluetooth speaker and a portable cooler. It was made for ease of transport and great bass. At full volume, it could shake the floor and be clearly heard 150ft away.
I used a new sub-woofer I purchased off of Amazon and replaced the original mid-range speaker with this large bass speaker. I didn't know much about how audio worked, just that I wanted a loud speaker to bring around.
This is the original circuit board with the wires to the new speaker soldered on. I had never worked with a circuit board before and this was my first time soldering on my own. It can be seem hot-glued to the wall, next to the battery.
