Plasma is an ionised gas with an equal number of positively charged particles + and negatively charged particles - .It is a super heated matter . As plasma is a matter especially the Fourth fundamental state of matter, it has mass and volume .
To make plasma , energy is needed to strip electrons from atoms which tends to move towards positively charged particles + . Plasma radiates its energy in the form of Electromagnetic Radiation.
Aurora , Lightning , Plasma ball , Neon sign , Welding arc , nuclear fireball etc are some the examples of Plasma.
All these examples strip away electrons to form plasma.
