Iban is commonly known as Ngepan Indu. The "Kelambi" (Shirt) can be from animal feathers and also from normal cotton cloth. Men's traditional Iban costumes wear “sirat” with a very long loincloth around the waist and between the two stocks, one end through the legs hanging in front which is dress like a apron and the other end around the waist. There should be a little “tail” (iko sirat in Iban) in the back. The loincloth worn in this way is quite secure and will not fall off. Accessories such as a belt, armlet and anklet included.
Ngepan Iban, which is always arranged by Iban women in the Gawai Ceremony, consists of Sugu Tinggi, Tali Mulung, Rawai, Buah Pauh, Bentuk Tumpa, Gerunchung Kaki, Lampit, Sementing Ringgit, Selampai, and Tango. This type of ngepan is widely used by the Iban community as a sign of their identity to differentiate themselves from other Dayak ethnicities.
