During the Fall of 2023 I had the pleasure of interning at a software development company in Cordoba, Argentina. The company, Bitsion, was founded in 2000 and has relations with six different countries including the United States and Germany. Bitsion creates and improves online platforms throughout South America. Most notably, Bitsion has created the “Farmacloud”, the first online pharmacy portal in Argentina. Additionally, Bitsion continuously works with the number one transportation system in Argentina, SUBE, by simplifying systems and implementing new services. The company has over fifty employees. During my time at Bitsion, I completed a Bilingual Human Resources and Communications internship over the course of 140 hours.
During the course of my internship, I was expected to produce an internal communication analysis with potential solutions, attend the Technology, Innovation and Knowledge 2023 Conference, create various media materials to promote employee appreciation, as well as propose various company culture campaigns. Likewise, I gave multiple presentations as well as taught communication and marketing skills to High School interns. I am eternally grateful for my time in Argentina and my time with Bitsion. I will never be able to repay them for teaching me how to be confident, resilient and creative in the workplace, all while teaching me the ins and outs of human resources. After my experience in Argentina, I am excited to enter the workforce to utilize and exemplify the values and lessons I have learned from my mentor.
