DESCRIPTION
Experimental Jam Munich is an open gathering where people come together with curiosity and interest in the investigations emerging from the experiment: movement, body, sound, new surroundings, and desire to connect with others. It is a space where we explore what is happening in the present moment and figure things out from unknown meetings. It is a collective improvisation between everyone working with movement and sound performance.
The project was founded by Salomé Rodrigues in collaboration with a changing group of artists from the Munich dance and music scene in 2024.
The session is an instant composition performance between professional/advanced movers and musicians, where everyone is the performer and the audience at the same time and is responsible for everything that is going on. It usually starts with a 30 minutes warm-up provided by a different dancer, followed by the 2 hours improvisation session.
The aim of this project is to connect artists from different backgounds in the local comunity and create a space where they can explore together and start future collaborations, feeding the creativity and diversity of the local performative arts comunity.
