Entry Events are engaging ways to excite students about the driving question and the project.

Ideas for entry events include:

• Reading aloud Salamander Sky
• Watch the trailer
• Watching a video about salamanders or amphibians; Salamanders crossing through a wildlife tunnel created in Monkton, Vermont,
• Launch with this learning guide on salamander migration from the Vermont Audubon Society!
• Hiking to a local pond or pool to look for amphibians (have students explore near their homes)
• Visiting a local nature center (virtual tour)
