Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cell

One of Saklain's primary research focuses is the analysis of perovskite material-based solar cells. His aim is to maximize the utilization of the solar radiation spectrum, which led him to work on a tandem structure for the solar cell. His proposed tandem structure comprises a perovskite-based cell on top and a silicon-based cell at the bottom. Through meticulous numerical analysis, Saklain optimized various parameters of the cell to achieve maximum efficiency. Remarkably, he attained an efficiency of up to 25.03% for the perovskite layer and reached up to 24.97% for the silicon-based cell. By employing a tandem structure, he successfully achieved an overall efficiency of approximately 41%, which is a significant accomplishment.
