Inspiration

1. Rukmini Devi Arundale – Bharatnatyam

Born on 29^th February 1904, Rukmini Devi Arundale was a theosophist, dancer and choreographer of Bharatnatyam. She changed the face of Bharatnatyam by reviving it and bringing back its due recognition. Not only did she work on re-embellishment of Bharatanatyam but also worked on the re-embellishment of the traditional Indian arts and crafts.

2. Pandit Birju Maharaj- Kathak

Brijmohan Mishra popularly known as ‘Pandit Birju Maharaj’ as was born on 4^th February 1938 in the family of Kathak dancers which includes both his uncles ‘Shambhu Maharaj’ and ‘Lachhu Maharaj’, and his father and guru ‘Acchan Maharaj’. He brought a lot of fame to the classical dance form of Kathak not only nationally but even globally.

3. Padma Subrahmanyam – Bharatnatyam

Born on 4^th February 1943 in Madras, ‘Padma Subrahmanyam’ is not only a well-known Bharatnatyam dancer but is an expert in various fields including a research scholar, choreographer, musician (masters in Carnatic Music), teacher, ideologist and author.

4. RLV Anand

RLV anand The most famous classical dance choreographer in kerala. A competent performer, choreographer and teacher, he heads his own dance institution "Yadhukulam Natygriham" at Chalakudy, Guruvayoor and Calicut. Rlv Anand has taken his diploma, post diploma, BA, MA in Bharathanatyam from RLV College, Tripunithara. Anand has contributed his own concepts to the traditional dance style through his experimentation and innovations in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipidi. He produced and choreographed several dance dramas in his own style, which are highly appreciated.

5.Sudha chandran

Popular Indian dancer and actor Sudha Chandran was a phenomenal dancer since her early years. She was 16 when she lost her right leg after developing gangrene, following an accident. Sudha continued to perform, wearing a prosthetic leg, and went on win a National Award for the film Mayuri.

An exponent of Bharatanatyam, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy has also appeared on TV as a judge for a dance show titled Thakadhimi.

Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai (born 21 March 1970), better known mononymously as Shobana, is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer. She acts predominantly in Malayalam films along with Telugu and Tamil films with few Hindi, Kannada and English films. She has won two National Film Awards, one Kerala State Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, with 14 Nominations for Best Actress Category in different three south Indian languages, Tamil Nadu State Kalaimamani Honoring Award in 2011 and numerous other awards.^[

8.Vineeth

Vineeth Radhakrishnan (born 23 August 1969) is an Indian actor, classical dancer, voice artist and choreographer who primarily works in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu language films. He has also starred in a few Kannada and Bollywood films.^[2] He has won several awards including 2 Kerala State Film Awards, Kalaimamani from Government of Tamil Nadu and Filmfare Award South.
