but do it with gentleness and reverence." 1 Peter 3:15-16
Lora Cavanna started the club after repeated invitations and her own deep desire for her children to develop their communication skills and good friendships with other students who also loved Christ. The club initially had about 12 senior students. Lora named the club after Saints Peter & Paul, who were two figures that embodied the boldness and eloquence of speech that she wanted the club members to possess.
Our club logo has three symbols. The M with a cross represents Jesus and Mary since all that we do in the club is done in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through the Blessed Virgin Mary. The keys represent St. Peter who received the keys to the kingdom from Jesus and the authority to bind and loose in matters of faith and morals. Lastly, the sword symbolizes St. Paul who was martyred and used the Word of God to defend the faith and evangelize.
Our logo has three colors. White is for Jesus, who is the Truth and the Light. One of our goals is for all our members to seek the truth and convey truth with love and charity. Blue is for Mary, our mother and our intercessor. Gold is for excellence and virtue, which each member is encouraged to strive diligently for in order to ultimately glorify God.
