The Governor's Conference was a great success. Hundreds of us gathered at St. Paul's Cathedral on May 16th; we asked tough questions to candidates running for governor. Thanks to all attendees, volunteers, and information booth staff. Special thanks to Jim and Rochelle at the End Gun Violence Michigan table, Kay at registration, Mike at the PPGV table, and other Saint Aidanites who attended and shuttled. The next gun safety event in Ann Arbor is Silence the Violence at Saint Aidan’s, June 20th, 6:30 pm. Hopefully we see you there—Peace, Pastor Tom.
St. Aidan's Episcopal Church is a welcoming community committed to experiencing and demonstrating God's love through eucharistic worship, prayer, study, and action. We strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our surrounding community and the world. We are committed to social and environmental justice and standing with those on the margins of society.
Pastor Tom began serving as our vicar in November 2022. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Redford for over 30 years, 15 of which the congregation was lay-led. He served his internship at St. Stephen’s Wyandotte and was ordained to the transitional diaconate in December 2021 and to priesthood in the Diocese of Michigan in June 2022. Tom worked for 34 years at Ford Motor Company as an engineer, superintendent, and supervisor. He and his wife, Christine, are committed to helping people, and they feel strongly about social justice.
