A travel eSIM is a digital SIM profile rather than a piece of plastic, so the usual worry — losing the card — is replaced by a different one: what happens when you reset the phone, swap to a new one, or the profile disappears during a software problem. With Saily, the eSIM is tied to your account, which means the profile can be reinstalled after a phone change or a reset. That matters most when you bought the plan at a discount, because the saving applies to the purchase you already made, not to a replacement you might otherwise have to buy again.
The discount itself comes from a coupon. EDC10 takes 10% off, and it is entered at checkout rather than at sign-up. Once the payment goes through, the saving is locked into that transaction; the code cannot be applied retroactively afterwards.
Open saily.com or the Saily app and search for your destination country or region.
Choose a plan card with the data allowance and validity you want.
Sign in or create an account with email, Google or Apple. There is no code field at this stage.
On the checkout page, tap the collapsed 'Got a coupon?' link beside the order summary to expand the input field.
Type EDC10 exactly, with no stray spaces, and press Apply.
Check that the order summary total has fallen by 10% before you choose a payment method.
Pay by card, or Apple Pay or Google Pay on supported devices. Prices are billed in US dollars.
Install the eSIM profile through the in-app prompts or the emailed QR code.
Step 3 is the one to take seriously if you care about recovery later. The account is what links your purchase to a future device, so use a sign-in method you will still control on the road.
The manual install paths are straightforward. On iPhone it is Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM. On Android it is Network and internet > SIMs > Add eSIM. The replacement handset must be eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked; most iPhones from the XS onward qualify, and Saily lists supported devices on its site. If you move to a phone that does not support eSIM, the discounted plan is of no use to you, and no coupon fixes that.
One convenience worth knowing before you buy extra plans: the app lets you switch between country plans without installing a new eSIM profile, so a second destination does not automatically mean a second install.
Plans include a 180-day activation period, and an unactivated plan auto-activates when that period expires. Validity generally begins when the eSIM connects to a network at the destination. So a plan bought cheaply with the code and then parked while you sort out a new phone is not frozen indefinitely — the activation window keeps counting down regardless of which device the profile currently sits on.
The 10% typically applies to the plan price, not taxes or local fees.
Only one coupon applies per transaction, and codes do not stack with other coupons or, generally, with other active promotions and seasonal campaigns.
A top-up bought later is a separate transaction, so the code has to be entered again at that checkout.
Referral credits, worth US$5.00 per successful referral, sit in your account balance and are handled separately from coupon codes.
Two points are genuinely unsettled. Published accounts disagree on whether the code is limited to one use per account or can be used again on later trips, and they also disagree on whether data roaming needs to be enabled for the Saily line. Whether the discount is honoured on Saily Ultra subscription renewals, whether any minimum spend or plan-tier rule applies, and whether particular bundled products are excluded are not stated either. Check the checkout total, which is the only reliable confirmation.
Note which sign-in method you used, keep the emailed QR code, confirm the new handset is eSIM-capable and unlocked, and remember that reinstalling a profile is an account action rather than a fresh purchase — so it does not need the coupon at all.
