The main options to cross the channel for the drive to Morocco, were Eurotunnel, or one of the car ferries. With a standard ticket for Eurotunnel coming in at £265 the ferry provided cheaper options to France. Equivalent ferry crossings were under £250, with DFDS providing the best package. Sailing from Newhaven the cost was more than £50 less than other ferry companies and nearly £100 cheaper than the Eurostar. In addition, even DFDS’s standard ticket is flexible; allowing departure up to 4 hours before or after the booked time without additional charges.
