Fundraising

The generosity of our sponsors (sponsor page) has helped us keep within budget and ultimately make our adventure a reality. We are in the privileged position of having both the time and resource to participate in the Sahara Challenge. In recognition of this and our sponsors’ generosity, we felt it important to ‘give back’.

Planning our Sahara Epedition made us acutely aware of the importance water for life and health.  Sadly it’s a resource that far too many people still lack, trapping them in poor health and poverty. The goal of Charity:Water (website)  is to ‘Bring clean and safe water to every person on the planet’. What makes this organisation unusual is that the funds they raise aren’t used to pay staff or CEOs. Instead 100% of donations directly fund global clean water projects. This has already had a huge impact, serving more than 20 million people across 29 countries. Our personal donations have already ensured several people will receive clean water for years to come. 

Our Sahara challenge website has free information on adventure travel (travel kit), vehicle preparation for off road use and car maintenance (car modifications). We hope that in addition to being interesting; the content is informative, helps save money and perhaps has even inspired you to undertake your own challenge or adventure!
