The Green Man

The Green Man is based on an ancient nature spirit or god whose carvings and statues can be found throughout Europe. There's one theory that the Green Man represents a pagan mythological figure while another theory says that he served as a bridge between pagan religious traditions and Judeo-Christian religious traditions. The Green Man is primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. You can learn more about the Green Man on the Wikipedia.

A few years ago I took an art doll class at a now-defunct makerspace where I created my own version of the Green Man using polymer clay, beads, pipe cleaners, and fabric.

I even made a YouTube tutorial video on how to make your own Green Man art doll.

Then I took a photo of my Green Man art doll and converted him into an image of a 3D action figure.

Then I had the Green Man printed on a 3D printer using dark green filaments.
