i prioritize accessibility in my designs. ensuring the languages listed are provided with their native appearance, while suitable for english speaking users creates inclusivity for all users.
mobile designs stay consistent with other device formats. this creates familiarity and muscle memory for users visiting using both device formats.
i personally like having the menu button near the user's thumb, at all time. i also designed to have the menu button movable as well. this allows for the user to customize their experience at all times.
when selected, the menu stays connected to the menu button, and hovers over the page as seen above.
etsy's one of my favorite services, so i'm quite familiar with their ui. this made it easier for me to execute this exercise. after research of information architecture i settled upon this design.
etsy's logo gives a vibrant feel. i met the vibrant orange with a regal dark green, and golden trim. i felt this complimented etsy's hand crafted identity. everything you see here are the exact options that available on etsy's current ui.
mobile design was fairly simple. consistency is key between device format designs. the menu tends to be tricky to find at times, so my design ensures it's visibility at the bottom within range of the user's thumb. using the iconic etsy orange allows the button to pop, and stand out from other assets.
i like a customizable experience. so i connected both the menu button and shopping cart.
this allows users to navigate between the two with a simple swipe.
