At age of 4 or 5...I remember my sibling's fanfare when I completed a drawing of a ninja turtle.
^something like that 😅
I'm an 80's baby, and a 90's kid, always outside. On my bike, at a friends house, exploring southern California streets, and reservoirs. However, I've always found the time to draw. at 4, I was drawing my favorite cartoon and video game characters. By age 6 I was creating my own character designs, and by 9 I started writing stories for those characters. On top of all this art, I was taking piano lessons from my grandfather, and eventually took a liking to the guitar.
By the end of middle school, my older brother and I had started producing music. It took us a couple years to figure it out, but by the time we were in high school, we'd sold some of our music and had them in rotation on radio stations in California, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. We had no idea that we could do such things with our talents. I was still making art, entered into competitions, and even sold some of my art to teachers on campus.
By the end of high school I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was heavily into video games at the time, but there were very limited programs offered for game development/design. I went into Graphic Design, and started freelancing fresh out of high school.
I continued producing music, released a few projects and found my passion. I combined my love for art as a service. I've worked in Vancouver, BC as a graphic designer and music producer, and eventually made my way to Seattle, WA where I did the same. I now reside in Phoenix, Arizona where my creative director (my wife) and I are building up our design Studio, Studio T+.
In the recent years I've expanded my network internationally. I've added animation, videography, video editing, web ux/ui design, and game design to my utility belt, and I still carry that same creative passion with me. I've finally been able to settle down, and my latest art project has been to mold a healthy family. I've been married to my best friend for 10+ years, and am a father of 2 really awesome kids :')
If you've made it this far, I'm glad you're joining me on my journey, and look forward to continue to create and inspire healing in the world, through my arts.
Fa'afetai lava, and thank you!
