△ the 2 black cars are actually chrome and pearlescent respectively, with negative decals added over them. Hard to demonstrate in a picture but it makes the designs very dynamic
◁ the leftmost car has a widebody for performance but I prefer to minimise it visually, so I made a simple design that can be seen from the side, below it's the bottom left car
The 2nd pic is my preferred design for subtly disguising widebody as it stands better on its own
⇙⇘ i made all these designs except the top right car in the 1st pic. Some decals already exist (brands related) the rest I made
△ with the free methods I have I can only make monochrome svgs (the rest already existed online). The max upload is 15kb so can be lot of work getting them to work but still look right. Such as my celestial negatives made from constellations & album covers (5th & 6th pics)
△ my designs are efficient (using the lines of the car etc) & striking (I like contrast, in particular using powder black decals to create false gaps (or continue a gap like the lower part in the left car) (also has the effect of a tail sweeping round thru the top part & returning from the bottom)
Design
I like recreating my fav band logos, using leftover packaging (except 2nd last pic in the carousel). After tracing I cut them in cardboard and colour them black, then put them in front of a light source (window) which makes them look very striking & with a slight 3D effect
(3rd pic) I giftwrapped my window (reflective part facing out, from the inside to reduce glare) to keep the room cool in summer, a happy accident was that giftwrap is so thin that it's actually translucent! Atleast this one is, the part between the blue which appears silver from the normal side.
Ofcourse if these were for external use I would do it neater! Clear tape atleast :P
DIY ideas
Pick holder
(bend the cardboard at a right angle to keep the picks from moving up & down too much, you'll need to anyway if cutting the slots with normal scissors)
Guitar stand for room corners
(need this to prevent the tuning pegs from leaning on the wall)
(make sure to reduce the diameter if using kitchen roll to add strength)
(add stabilisers to keep it from tipping over sideways, I used cigarette filter tips)
