INSTRUCTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities as an authorized PRC Basic Life Support-CPR & First Aid Instructor are to: 1. Be familiar with the course materials and know how to use them effectively.2. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate procedures and course.3. Inform participants of evaluation procedure and course completion requirements at the beginning of the course4. Create a non-threatening environment conducive to the participant's achievement of course objectives.5. Adapt your teaching approaches to the experience and ability of participants.6. Be prepared to answer participant's questions or know where to find the answer.7. Provide for the health and safety of participants by always ensuring that-
Manikins have been properly cleaned.
Participants are aware of health precautions and guidelines concerning the transmission of infectious diseases and participants' physical ability to perform the skills.
Participants know they should consult if they have concerns about their physical ability to perform the skills.
The classroom and practice areas are free of hazards.
8. Be proficient at and able to demonstrate all the skills taught in this course.9. Supervise participant's with constructive feedback as they learn the skills.10. Evaluate participant's performance skills.11. Identify participants who are having difficulty mastering the course materials competence.12. Administer and score final written examination.13. Submit completed examination record and reports.14. Provide a positive example by not smoking or showing other unhealthy habits while working with participants.
