Songbirds are illegally captured in the United States and sold in foreign markets, but how many birds, what species, points of origin, and where they are offered for sale are all questions that are poorly understood. This initiative is working towards a better understanding of the illegal North American songbird trade so we can identify actions to eliminate it and develop appropriate messaging for guests.
